vGIS Inc. (“vGIS”) respects the privacy of its users. This document explains how information supplied to vGIS via the vGIS websites (Meemim.com and vGIS.io), vGIS Admin Portal and Meemim Knowledge Management System is handled. This privacy policy may be modified in the future. The policy that follows, pertains to vGIS’s information collection, use and disclosure practices. Customer Data will be used only to provide the customer vGIS’s Online Services including purposes compatible with providing those services. “Customer Data” means all data, including, but not limited to, text, sound, video, or image files, and software, that are provided to vGIS by, or on behalf of, the customer or the customer’s end users through the use of the Online Services.
vGIS may use cookies (small text files placed on a device’s hard disk by a web service) or similar technologies to provide the Online Services. For example, cookies and similar technologies such as web beacons, may be used to store a user’s preferences and settings, to gather web analytics, to authenticate a user or to detect fraud. In addition to the cookies vGIS may set when you visit vGIS sites, third parties hired to provide services on vGIS’s behalf, such as site analytics, may also set cookies when visiting vGIS sites. Internet browser documentation will provide additional information on how to control cookies and similar technologies. Choices made regarding the use of cookies may impact the User’s experience of the Online Services.
Some Online Services may require, or may be enhanced by, the installation of local software (e.g. “Apps” such as agents and device management applications. This section of the vGIS Online Services Privacy Statement governs a Customer’s use of those vGIS Apps that do not have their own privacy statements. These Apps can be configured to transmit data, which may include Customer Data, from a device or appliance to or from the Online Services. The Apps may collect other information about the use and performance of the Apps that may be transmitted to vGIS, and analyzed for purposes of improving the quality, security and integrity of vGIS products and services. Some Apps may have logging capabilities that can transmit data to vGIS or to the Online Services for troubleshooting purposes.
Using the contact information provided by registrants — including email addresses — vGIS may periodically send promotional or informational messages. By providing personal contact information when the customer registers or requests specific services, the Customer agrees that vGIS may contact the Customer regarding account status, changes to this privacy policy and / or other terms of service, and to confirm, fulfill and follow up on registration, service or information requests.
vGIS may hire subcontractors to provide services on its behalf. Subcontractors will be permitted to obtain data only to deliver the services vGIS has retained them to provide, and will be prohibited from using data for any other purpose.
This site contains links to other sites. While we encourage our business partners to adopt privacy policies that build users’ trust and confidence in the internet, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of websites linked to any of our sites. We may allow third parties to sponsor promotions and sweepstakes through our site. The use of any personal information provided to such a third party will be governed by that party’s privacy policy.
Any changes to this policy will be posted on the Meemim.com and vGIS.io websites. If those changes impact how personally identifiable information is used, the Customer will be contacted before the changes take effect via email at the email address provided by the Customer The Customer can agree to the changes, modify their personally identifiable information or deactivate their user record.
vGIS has implemented and will maintain appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information against accidental loss, destruction, or alteration; unauthorized disclosure or access; and unlawful destruction.
Except as described below, Customer Data that vGIS processes may be transferred to, and stored and processed in, Canada, the United States or any other country in which vGIS or its affiliates or subcontractors maintain facilities.
All of the information, content and services (collectively, the “Content”) within this Service are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The Content is owned by vGIS and its affiliated companies, licensors and suppliers. The Content is intended for personal use only. The Customer may not reproduce, sell, publish, distribute, modify, display, repost or otherwise use any portion of the Content in any other way or for any other purpose other than personal use without the written consent of vGIS. Requests regarding use of the Content for any purpose other than personal, noncommercial use should be directed to vGIS.
The Content includes certain trademarks and service marks owned by vGIS including the names “vGIS”, “Meemim” and certain logotypes, as well as trademarks owned by other information providers. The Customer agrees not to copy, use or otherwise infringe upon these trademarks or service marks and not to alter or remove any trademark, copyright or other notice from any copies of the Content.
A Customer may freely link their website to vGIS’s home page. Permission from vGIS is required if the Customer would like to link to other pages of vGIS’s website. vGIS reserves the right to reject or terminate any links to the Content or the Service.
The vGIS website may include inaccuracies or errors. vGIS does not under any circumstances accept responsibility for the accuracy or otherwise of any ads, nor is any kind of warranty provided, whether expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, , fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of any third party’s rights of any kind. Information on vGIS’s website is provided on an “AS IS” basis. The website is not intended to provide tax, legal, insurance or investment advice, and nothing on this site should be construed as an offer to sell, a solicitation of an offer to buy, or a recommendation for any asset by vGIS or any third party. The Customer is solely responsible for determining whether any investment, security or strategy, or any other product or service, is appropriate or suitable based on investment objectives and personal and financial situations. THE CUSTOMER EXPRESSLY AGREES THAT USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT THE CUSTOMER’S OWN RISK. NEITHER VGIS, NOR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, CONTENT PROVIDERS OR LICENSORS, MAKES ANY REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND REGARDING THE SERVICE, THE CONTENT, ANY ADVERTISING MATERIAL OR THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SERVICE. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” BASIS, AND VGIS AND PARTNERS SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR WARRANTIES AGAINST INFRINGEMENT.
